We are buzzing with excitement to welcome you back to Sandstone Elementary for another fantastic school year! This year’s theme is “Work Hard, BEE Kind, and Amazing Things Will Happen.” Below are some important dates and information to help you get ready:
Important Dates:
August 1st and 2nd – Kindergarten Diagnostic Assessment (Watch for more details)
August 5th – Washington Rec Center Family Night from 5:00 – 6:30 PM – Swim for Free and Meet the Teacher!
August 8th – Back to School Night 5:00 – 6:00 PM
- Sandstone Scavenger Hunt
- Hot dogs and drinks!
- Free backpacks with school supplies for students in need
- PTA information
- See the classroom and tour the school

- Pencil with the Principal
August 12th – First Day of School
August 12th-16th – Kindergarten Half Days
August 23rd – Diagnostic Day – No School – Testing by Appointment (Look for information coming home soon)
August 26th – Diagnostic Day – No School – Testing by Appointment (Look for information coming home soon)

Class placements will be determined after the testing on August 1st and 2nd. Parents and guardians will be notified as soon as possible.
